Breathing on the Aegean

It’s not in Lanzarote, but it is an unmissable life-changing retreat.

Alan Dolan and Louka Leppard combined their talents to take guests on a transformational journey across the blue waters of the Aegean sea on a traditional Turkish sailing boat in June 2015.

The week long trip gave the time and space to relax, regenerate and refill; to liberate and clear physical, emotional and energetic systems, and enter into fully embodied consciousness.

Each morning on deck, as the sun rose, guests were guided in an hour of transformational breath work by Alan. Their days were then free to swim, rest, sunbathe in the breeze and take walks around beautiful bays and creeks.

During the week each guest received a 1-hour private treatment of massage from Louka to open their chests, diaphragms and Hara, helping to bring their consciousness down into their bodies, to connect with their sensations and allow for a more liberated breathing pattern.

The food served for Breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious, light and healthy: green tea, fresh fruit, salad, vegetables and fish. To help cleanse, there was no coffee, alcohol or smoking on board.

There were 14 guests on board in shared cabins with en suite bathrooms. There were five crew to take care of everyone’s needs. We spent a maximum of two hours sailing per day; the boat was very stable and no one suffered from sea sickness.

This was a great chance to reset and realign.

Louka Leppard is the founder of Tulamassage and Tulayoga. His primary interests are in the devotional, ceremonial and meditative aspects of touch, in the release of held emotion and trauma through the release of tension in the body and the healing power of tenderness.
