Medical research into Conscious Breathing and other such breathing therapies is still in its infancy. This is due to the fact that it is still a fairly new technique and quite possibly because there are no financial rewards to the medical profession in investing in such research. The breath is such a powerful healing mechanism available to everyone, at any time, free.

Due to the increasing popularity of many different types of breathing therapies across the globe some scientific researchers are beginning to investigate the many health benefits of what we refer to as Breathwork or Breath Training.

The type of Conscious Connected Breathing that we teach involves a form of deep, circular, connected, diaphragmatic breathing (which is very different to yogic breathing/Pranayama). There are many variations of Breathwork (such as  Transformational Breath, Holotropic Breath, Rebirthing which are all based on the “connected” breath) each with their own particular technique however all of the current research reports on the common benefits of continued slow, deep, diaphragmatic breathing.
