Yoga and Transformational Breathing
Interestingly a number of clients who have a regular yoga practice have told me that working with TFB has taken their practice to a whole new level. How wonderful !
How does Transformational Breathing differ from Pranayma?
TFB differs from yogic breathing techniques (pranayama) in a number of ways primarily because its aim is to bring about 100% usage of the respiratory system thereby bringing much greater levels of oxygen and energy into the body than would otherwise be experienced. Yogis who practice TFB are often amazed at how powerful their experiences are. Subsequently it has been referred to as a ‘’Pranayama for the 21st century’’ (Yoga Magazine, October 2006).
My perspective it that technically TFB is not a pranayama the meaning of which is ‘breath control’ in that it more accurately be described as a form of breath release. However, TFB could certainly be termed a form of Yoga in that it does facilitate union between the mind, body and spirit. Most yogi(ni)s who practice with me are amazed and delighted with the results and realise that TFB is far from being simply ‘another breath technique.’
The simplicity of a single breath
An infinite bridge
Connecting the atoms of our unique constellations
Exposes the myths we tell ourselves for what they really are.
The simplicity of Transformational Breathing belies the profound effect it will have on your life.
Alan and his techniques are the proverbial breath of fresh air.
